Over this last week myself and my partner Alex Wickens have been doing a practice investigation, we decided to investigate car adverts, this was probably the hardest out of the selections of adverts to choose from as modern car adverts don't have much writing on so we didn't have a lot to talk about whereas shaving adverts do- which was one of the other options.
An investigation consists of a hypothesis, systematic analysis' ,conclusion and an evaluation. My hypothesis was proven wrong on this investigation so maybe a tip for the real thing would be not to assume all of the documents you are looking at are the same.
Useful websites that I will use in the real thing are the one where you can see how often a word is used through the years which is good when comparing modern and old texts(Ngram). Investigations on texts that have lots to analyse are better in my opinion as you run out of things to talk about on texts such as car adverts.
In my opinion what makes a good investigation is when you go against your hypothesis as this shows you investigated deeply and found alternative information then what you previously thought.
